"A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to turn around three times before lying down."

ABOUT US

We would like to introduce ourselves, we are Jim and Tina Beasley from southern Indiana and both of us are crazy about English Pointers.  English Pointers are our passion, not our living.  Jim works a 40 hour a week job. Tina keeps the kennel clean, makes trips to the vet and socializes and cares for the puppies, as much as her health will allow. All of our spare time is devoted to the dogs.  We love our dogs and the breed.  We like what they do, how they do it and what they stand for.  We like to share this passion with other people, that's why we feel our puppies are second to none.  A lot of thought and care is taken into account, before each breeding.  Not only is desire and bird hunting ability part of the equation but disposition, trainability, boldness, desire and intelligence are taken into account as well.  We want our puppies to be easy to train and fun to have as pets, either inside your home or outside in your kennel and life long companions.
We both enjoy hunting with our dogs.  Jim enjoys trying to bag a few birds and Tina enjoys "shooting" with the camera.  We hunt Bobwhite Quail, Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock and Pheasant.  Our dogs adjust well to each of the hunting situations that present itself for each bird.  They widen out a little in quail and woodcock country and cover fence rows and various types of cover and then move in and hunt close for grouse and pheasants. They seem to make this transition with ease and never lose any of their desire.
We've been in the breeding and selling of puppies since 1998 and we have owned and trained our own dogs since 1995.  We decided that we loved the dogs so much that breeding and raising puppies was the next logical step.  We started researching dogs and found the Fiddler's Ace and Elhew bloodlines to our liking, because of their tendency to naturally hunt close, great noses, bid-ability, desire, boldness and their great looks and intensity.  We feel Fiddler bred dogs cross well with Elhew, especially out of Elhew Mr. McGoo bloodlines.  We feel that all of our dogs will make good walking field trial stock as well as excellent hunting companions.  We are line breeding Fiddler's Ace and Elhew bloodlines.  Our puppies are guaranteed, we will give a puppy from your choice of any upcoming litter, if your puppy has any genetic defects. After the puppies are whelped we feel that, as breeders, socialization is the most important part of the puppies up-bringing, until they go to their new home with their new owner.  We start socializing the puppies daily at 48 hours old, by handling and talking to them.  As they get a little older and start to play we try to play games that will help them learn.  Raising and keeping them in the house ensures they are well adapted to house life, as most new dog owners keep their puppies in the house full time.  We have sold numerous puppies as house pets only, the owners have no plans on hunting the dog, they just want a good companion.  If we have puppies that are not sold at weaning time they are kept in the puppy pen and are exercised and played with daily.
We have learned a lot over the last few years. We have read every article we could find on the Internet and read as many books and publications that we could get our hands on.  We have talked to many breeders and trainers, but the most we have learned has come from our dear friend, Perry Anderson. He has been there for us numerous times, to answer our questions on whelping, training and any other question that we may have.  I'm sure some of our questions were quite silly, but he took every question seriously and if he couldn't answer the question he always found the answer somewhere.  Thank You Perry!
Even though we have only been in business since 1998 we are expanding all the time.  We are always on the look out for dogs that we feel will fit our breeding program.  We have traveled all over the United States, looking at and purchasing dogs, for our breeding program.  Check this web site regularly for updated listings of the dogs we own, they can all be seen on the Our Dogs page.
We hope you enjoy our web site. If you have any questions or you are interested in a puppy feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your time,
Jim and Tina Beasley

You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat
