Just a few, of the Thank You's, we have received . . . . . .

Hello,
My name is Rod  I am Claude's son and Laney's uncle.  Dad wanted me to email you to let you know that Squirt is doing great. She is Dads buddy and has had over 200 birds shot over her, so far. She is quite the lady.  She now weighs about 33 pounds and has the smallest head and she has such a tiny body but has really long legs and she can cover a field like a bullet. She backs and points like a older dog and she is steady to wing and shot great retreiver but has a hard time with the pheasants,  reason is they are as big as she is,  but she does it all  She is in obedience school and is ready to take her Canine Good Citizen test Dad has one on his Brittany. Now he is getting one on squirt and this test is really hard they have to do it all and the lady said not to many pointers can get it ? Squirt does it all I think sometimes she is going to talk to dad? Well he wanted me to let you know how good she is doing.
Thank You
Rod

Hi! im Lainey, Claude's granddaughter. We took Squirt over to a man to see how she did and he said that she did very well. So many people have tried to buy Squirt.  He said that she is a real smart and beautiful dog. Its all thanks to the breeding that she came from=) thanks so much for her! Shes a wonderful dog and we all love the pretty little thing. I look forward to seeing the new pups that are due. I bet they'll be real pretty and they're might be another trip ahead for us if you get a all white one. Thanks so much=)

Hey! Its Lainey again, Claudes granddaughter. we took Squirt out to the field today just to let her run and she done excellent. But what I was emailing you about was a new puppy. We've gotten Squirt trained so fast that my grandpa needs a new project. She's soo good there's just no more he can do with her but hunt and work her. He needs something to keep him busy. I know that there were some pups due in the beginning of this month and all he can talk about is getting a all white pointer pup. He for sure wants one. Thanks alot! I cant wait to see the new lil pups, I know they'll be really good because I got one of the best. I love my lil dog:) Thanks, Lainey

Greetings!
Finally got a couple of pictures for you. I found a field close by and Curly LOVES being out in the weeds and grass. She found her nose this weekend. Wow is she fun to watch. She's a great dog. Fitting in well.  Talk to you soon.

Hi Tina,
Well it's been a few weeks now and wanted to let you know we just love this little guy. I think after 3 times in the pond he has figured out how to stay out of it, Thank goodness since it's starting to get cold. He's not use to the cold yet, when he goes outside he just poops on the deck and pees in the flowers and gets right back inside. He's still not use to the sweater I put on him. The legs seem to grow everyday, in length and muscle. He sits for his treats, sometimes after 3-4 jumps. I was a little worried about Cody, our miniature schnauzer, as he can be very jealous, but Cody has become very protective of Indy. If someone or some other dog is playing with Indy and he yelps, Cody is right there to make sure Indy is OK. We went for a walk at our place in Trinidad and Indy couldn't figure out how to get over to us and Cody went to Indy and lead him back. I have never seen Cody play with another dog as much as he does with Indy. Indy still isn't too sure about the horses, although he does like to sneak into the pens to steal horse poop. Indy still hasn't convinced the cats to play with him yet, but he has fun trying. He travels great. He has been to Trinidad a couple times, him and Cody go hunting together and exploring. We also had to go to Santa Fe, so he's been there also. It's so funny to watch Indy sneaking up on Cody and then pouncing. We are working on fetching and staying, fetching is going well, staying not so well but we have just started that this week. I have some pictures to send, but have a couple more rolls to pick up. I digital is having issues at this moment. Hopefully we will get to the hunting club this week to get a wing, if not a friend at work has some and I'm going to get one from him. One question I have, does this breed not bark much? Well I go for now and I'll try to get those pictures to you soon. Thanks so much for this new member of our family.
Later,  Dee

Hi Tina and Jim,
Sorry but just have to brag a little more on the wonderful puppy you sent us. Today we took him out and shot quail over him. He did so well. Held point on all but one bird. We had them put out 10 quail, we brought home 8, but Indy put up more than was shot. He did well on the retrieval part also. We were with 2 others who were hunting with Dave, one wife was trying to film with our new DVD recorder that I haven't figured out completely yet, when I do I'll send you a copy. I was working with Indy on a tag line. Dave is so proud of him and we are very pleased with our choice of kennels.
Thanks again,  Dee

Greetings from Snowy Southwest Missouri Valley, Iowa!
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you folks for the best pup I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Tucker is turning out to be an incredible dog. As you can see from the attachments (pointing Sparrows from the picture window) he's going to be a big boy! He already weighs pounds. His training is coming along nicely. He is flawless on his sit/stay and come commands and really coming along well with the "whoa" command. He loves to zigzag track his Pheasant wing and has no problem with gunfire. We will have the opportunity to work with pen raised Pheasants this February.
As well as he's doing with his field duties, my wife has also exposed him to the show circuit, which he seems to enjoy! She is a trainer at one of the local Omaha dog clubs and recently took him to a Confirmation practice where he blew the judges away. They said he was one of the finest examples they had seen of his breed and asked for your website address. Fran (my wife) is working on registering him with the AKC so he can compete in local dog shows. I told her I didn't have a problem with this as long as he enjoys doing it, but to keep in mind that he is a companion/hunting dog first!
Well, thanks again for one awesome puppy! He's everything I wanted him to be and more. I would sure like to come down and pick out a nice female in the next year or so, keep up the good work!
Talk to ya soon,
Mark

Happy Holidays to you......
I can't even begin to tell you how much joy Gage has brought to our family. His stocking had more stuff in it than anyone's. He is like one of our kids..... Tell Jim, Gage had his first hunting trip on opening day of pheasant season. He was awesome. He had one point on a big rooster that gave me goose bumps. Later on that day he ran right into a covey of quail and flushed them all, but that was all right, he's still just a pup. The older dogs showed their disapproval, and I think Gage got the hint. He is incredibly smart. He stays in the house most of the time. I just finished his kennel yesterday so I'll probably start keeping him outside more often, weather permitting. I still plan on sending you some pictures I've just been so busy with the holidays, I'm sure you understand.  I'm sure you'll find the pictures quite amusing as Gage loves to pose for the camera. We had Christmas cards of him and the boys taken, I'll send one . Well, Thanks again for all your kindness and our little (40 lbs.) bundle of joy. Hope you all have a safe and prosperous New Year.
Talk to ya soon.

Hi,
Josie did fine on the trip (likes to chew) and she made herself right at home, here. Your socialization must have worked for she seems to enjoy people very much. She is delightful. The other dogs and cats aren't quite sure yet, but she isn't the least bit intimidated by their size or wariness. She tried one of the nipples of our older pointer and that didn't go over well at all. However, right now they are asleep together under the desk.
We are totally impressed with the loving care you give to the puppies before they leave your kennels. It shows in how easily Josie adapted to her new family.
Thanks, Marsha

JIM & TINA,
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW RICK IS DOING GREAT.  HE IS THE BEST DOG I HAVE
EVER HAD. HE KNOWS HIS NAME, SIT, STAY, NO, FETCH, AND COME. WE WILL BE
STARTING WHOA IN A WEEK. HE LOVES SLEEPING IN THE HOUSE AND LOVES TO JUMP OVER THE BABY GATE AND RUN THROUGH THE HOUSE. HE IS A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY. HE HAS DOUBLED IN SIZE, HE WEIGHTS 20 POUNDS AND HE IS GETTING TALL AND MUSCLE.  I WILL SEND SOME PICTURES OF US HUNTING THIS YEAR.
THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING.
RYAN

Hi Tina & Jim,
The pictures are a true reflection of our happiness that day. If anything our smiles are even bigger now! We had a great ride home on Saturday. The puppy road wonderfully. He slept some and played some. He even ate in the car. And when we stopped to walk him he got right to business.
Arriving at home he was greeted by our son and daughter, along with our other two dogs. The puppy walked right in as if he had always lived there and has been doing great ever since. We dusted off the fishing pole and grouse wing and we have gotten all kinds of beautiful points. The puppy loves the other dogs, and they are warming up to him. The Chihuahua is starting to play with him and she shares her crate and pillow with him.
We have named the puppy Lost River Jasper and we call him Jasper. Funny thing, that name was not on our list until we spent the night there, but it really suits him.
Jasper has slept through the night every night since we got home without a whimper. He eats like a horse and passed his new puppy exam at the vet with flying colors. Everyone on the staff there was in the exam room to "ooh and ah" over him. Our vet is a pointer man from way back and enjoys seeing these great dogs.
Jasper is running through my hostas and ferns, too. He is very interested in everything. He learned a valuable lesson about toads the other night when he tried to bite one. He was drooling for a several minutes after that and the toad hopped away unharmed.
My husband has been home with Jasper all this week so far to make sure Jasper gets settled in right. My son took Monday off to stay and be with the puppy, too. My daughter is turning him into a regular lap dog!! In short, we all love him to pieces. He is a great dog and we are looking forward to watching him grow up.
The attached pictures should show you that he is getting along just great here.
Thanks again and we will keep you posted on his progress.
Kathy

Dear Jim and Tina,
I have been meaning to send this picture since October of last year.  It was taken in Michigan's upper peninsula, this is a bird that young
Jasper pointed. I managed to knock it down and lose it in the underbrush. Jasper was worked back in and he re-pointed the bird and we got him. Jasper  was exactly 5 months and 10 days old. The only reason he was being hunted is the average age of the other dogs on the trip was about 12 so he got a  little ground time. He worked very well and my wife and I are extremely  happy with him. He is a full fledged member of the household, he sleeps in  our bedroom at night and is in the house full time except for exercise time. He has taken a few dips in the pool but does not think that is to much fun. It is funny as he is the only dog we have owned who knew how to play with dog toys, and does he play, even now he has a big basket of toys and has them all over the place. He is just a great dog, by  the way one of the people witnessing his performance up north was my brother Kim who is in line for one of your dogs. When we started the week trip in the U.P. he was discussing a kennel out east that he thought he would get a dog from. After a few days he was asking what was the name of  the kennel again, I told him that I had recommended you increase your price  just for him, I am glad to see you charge a little more for these dogs. In my opinion they are still grossly under priced and a very good deal for a top quality dog. I am watching your web site for pictures of your next  breeding so I can help my brother select a dog.
Dave

Tina & Jim,
I just wanting to let you know Sam is doing great. John has let him stay in the house the past two nights. We are amazed how well behaved and trained he is already. John and I just wanted to let you know we think your work with these puppies are amazing. We have remarks about it from everyone we see.
Thanks so much,
John and Lise

Hi Tina and Jim,
I finally got some pictures of Shantz developed and thought you would like to see them. He has adjusted well into his new home. He found a lifetime buddy with my shorthair. They are practically inseperable. I couldn't ask for a better puppy. He has his share of mishaps but dont we all. My sister took him to work with her last Saturday and they all absolutely fell in love with him. There is no doubt he comes from good stock because he was pointing within the first week I got him and he is developing quite a bit of style with each passing day. Here are some pics of him at 7 1/2 weeks.

Thanks, Brad

Well Mocha is doing quite well. House training went well for her, she picked up on the idea that outside means to go to the bathroom quite quickly. She has been out in the field quite a few times and has proven to have a good nose. She even pointed (although is was only a couple seconds) to a grouse in a tree! Quite funny. She lives in the house with us and seems quite comfortable. She loves to lay next to anyone who is willing to lay on the floor with her. She is quite the spoiled pup. But aren't that what dogs are for? Anyway, she follows me around the house and never leaves my side. Obedience classes will start this spring (More for me than her!) Anyway, take care and Have a great new year. I will keep in touch.
Jerry

Hi Tina,
I was just thinking about you yesterday and how I should let you know that we LOVE Gracie and she is doing great, healthy and content. She has some characteristics that our first dog (a Dalmatian) had as a puppy. We had to put him to sleep about a month ago (he was old and sick - the saddest thing we've ever had to do). Anyway, Gracie has quickly filled a big lonely spot in our lives and our hearts - just being the sweet, comical, intelligent pup that she is, is awesome but then when she does things that remind us of Blue, well, it's all the better. She's learning quickly the few rules we have for her. Paul keeps telling her how spoiled she is compared to our labs. But, as you know pointer pups lend themselves to some extra special treatment! I can't believe we got her - that someone else didn't pick her before we did.
Our vet, a German Short Hair owner, saw her on Friday and said she was great.........we think he wants a pointer now, but he's got a young dog taking up much of his time already. He told Paul that he is jealous! She enjoys teasing our 2 male black labs. She's very brave, barking at them while they are behind chain link in their kennel! Our 4 year old nephew thinks he's her Uncle Dylan and doesn't want us to tell anyone else that we have her - I don't think he wants to have to share her. I brought her to work Friday (as requested by the owner's daughter) and she slept in her kennel most of the day and never even whined. The girls in accounting, our purchasing director and I took turns taking her out to play and everyone really liked her. I even had a few people say I might not get her back. Of course, I told them to contact you and get their own puppy. :)
I'll try and get a picture of her with us, this week, hopefully with a digital camera, and e-mail it to you. If you have any questions or want updates, just send an e-mail and we'll answer back.
Thanks again for our sweet, little, baby - Gracie.

Hi Jim and Tina,
Our trip home was GREAT! Slick sat, laid, sprawled on my lap all the way home and for the first few miles enjoyed the scenery as we drove.
Bill's pointer, Dan, took to Slick right off, wanting to sniff and play from the moment we brought him in the house. But Dan was a bit rowdy and Slick wasn't too sure of him so we allowed only brief and very supervised encounters at first. That lasted until about an hour ago when the tables turned and Slick started going after Dan. Ha! What a sight to see the two of them playing on the back porch. We've not let them out in the yard together yet and probably won't until some time tomorrow and will continue to supervise the two of them when together but I think they're going to be great buddies.
Even my German Shepherd, Duke, took to Slick. Admittedly not with the enthusiasm that Dan displayed but Duke will be 11 next month and has always been quite reserved with anyone and everyone but me. He did however, greet Slick with a wagging tail and a quick slurp to his face so I was very pleased about that. Slick thought Duke was really great and wanted more than anything to crawl all over him but I don't think that's a good idea quite yet.
Slick's first night was spent on the back porch with Dan. We have a large crate which we fixed up for him and after only a little whimpering he went sound asleep from about 11:15 P.M. until I got him up at 5:15 this morning as we were getting up to go to Glendale for the last day of the pheasant put and take hunt. I had checked on him at 3:15 and he was still sleeping soundly. And no messes. WONDERFUL!
Remember that I said Slick probably wouldn't be allowed on the furniture. Well, we've kind of broken that rule already. He and Bill had a nice nap last evening in Bill's recliner back in the bedroom and they're napping again back there as I write this.
This afternoon Slick got to romp around the yard and really seemed to enjoy being outside. He especially likes my flowers. Bill got up on the roof of the house and two sheds this afternoon to blow leaves out of the gutters and Slick supervised from the ground. The noise of the leaf blower didn't bother him at all. Nor did the racket of the air compressor when Bill blew water out of a couple of hoses after washing off the big concrete pad around our pole building. Slick supervised that too. In fact, he's supervised just about everything we've done since getting here and hasn't exhibited the least little bit of distress at all.
Bill is planning an afternoon of fishing some time this week with a buddy of his and I think I'll go along, if the weather is fit that is, and let Slick explore things with me from the bank. He already seems to enjoy getting right in the middle of my perennial beds and rooting around among the plants so he'd probably really take to a picked corn field and a couple of weed patches.
Before closing I just have to compliment you Tina on the absolutely wonderful job of socializing you do with your puppies. Bill and I have both had dogs and puppies all of our lives and neither of us has ever gotten a pup which has so easily fit into our family. It's amazing! There is absolutely no adjustment period at all. He's made us his humans already, totally accepting and trusting. It's as if he's been here forever. And we are totally smitten with him. He's a joy!
I better sign off for now. By my watch Bill has had Slick for about an hour and I think it's my turn. Ha! Yeah, it's that bad. Isn't it great!
Thanks again for entrusting one of your 'babies' to us. We'll cherish him for as long as we're blessed with his company. I'll be keeping in touch with pictures and updates.
Sincerely,
Marianne

Hi Folks,
I've attached four pictures from Slick's first hunt yesterday. Needless to say we're thrilled that he's doing so well, especially his very first time out. I've never hunted with a young dog before and am wondering if it's normal for them to do so much right at not even five months? Of course, I like to think that Slick is quite exceptional. Ha!
He really is doing well in every way. He's got a very sweet nature, is laid back and very smart (just like you said, Tina) and seems to adapt easily to whatever situation he finds himself in. I noticed the second day we had him that he was quite the independent one and this showed itself yesterday while hunting when he went ahead by himself hunting on his own and not relying on the other dogs to find birds for him. He found several birds all by himself and he hunted hard, that was something else that stood out. I was expecting him to tire out after a short while but NO WAY, he stuck it out to the end. Needless to say we're as pleased as can be. I told Bill yesterday that I've not been this proud of anything since out son graduated from high school. Ha!
Jim, thanks for your time on the phone this evening and for ordering the thrower. I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of it fine tuning Slick's technique and we'll keep you posted on his progress. I'll check your web site regularly to find out when your expecting your next litters. As I said this evening a very good friend of ours would absolutely love a pointer if only he can convince his wife. She's thinking maybe a lap dog. I've told her that Slick is a wonderful lap dog. Anyway, this is a fine couple and take extremely good care of their dogs. I hope he makes the right choice and gets a pointer and if he does there's no doubt he would want one from your kennel. He's very impressed with Slick.
Well, I better sign off and head for my chair. Slick has been in here a couple of times and looks like he could use a little snooze. Thanks again for everything. We'll be keeping in touch.
Marianne
